Strategy / Re: Thinking Ahead (Next Phase...)
« on: February 24, 2014, 01:03:49 pm »
SotBD will be setting up in Stormlands, and if we'd like to continue the RP, I suggest we set up there and maybe be their medic unit.  They plan on going balls to the wall.  I think New Valaryians want to make a serious run in Riverlands, which they expect to be the new region.  Not sure where any of the other big alliances plan on setting up yet.

I think Tully will come out at the start of the phase or just before, so it would be a good time to take it easy on building camps and stockpile for phase 6 and a serious run at a level 20 camp.

So what would you suggest then as a target goal for this phase in camp level's?

Being SotBD medic unit sounds like it will open RP up for some great scenes and also give us another shot at Helping Hand.

I will be open to do whatever the group decides, but I must stress that i'd like to see clear goals on what we want to do going into the phase. Nod has said there will be no game mechanics changes http://www.disruptorbeam.com/forums/viewthread/13455/

So I would say lets start by agreeing on :

1: Our purposes this phase, i.e. medic unit, stockpile supplies, crafting for new phase

2. Types of camps we will have next phase ( I disagree that we need to wait for the phase to start to have a plan.)

3. Items people will craft, which include assignments. I know we have ppl that reincarnate, those that are, I think should let us know if they can dedicate to contribute basic units or cannot dedicate to contribute. I feel those members should be supported regardless of whether they can or cannot, but some type of organization should be made to get the information out in the open. If our small group is to compete we must get organized.

4. Stick to the plan and not add items to camps we are not upgrading. So with that said, maybe some changes to the MoTD could be suggested.
4a) No need to take up space on who won the AC challenges because thats what the AC Thread in the MB is for
4b)New thread in our MB about who's new to the group, so that we have space freed up
4c) It is one thing to add to camps unknowingly and is another to know and to still add to the camp anyway

What I think members would benefit most from reading MoTD is: Where camp levels should be, What items are needed to be stockpiled, what items are needed to be crafted and any actions that need to be taken for diplomacy. I know the main goal for KotWR is to have fun at AvA, but the only fun I have when I lose is at strip poker.

In order to keep it fun, participation in AvA should remain at will, but i've had chats with people that are ready to be organized as well as people that don't want to have a committed relationship. Both are fine by me and I wouldn't fault anyone for any amount of contribution, even zero.

Those are my thoughts moving forward to a new phase.

I'm continuing to craft all three basic units like traders, milita and eavesdroppers. As for next phase i'd like to pick one region and see if we can defend our position there. We saw the Iron Islands as a place where hostile actions compete. With the number of members we have, I think it would be best to stick to one region and move as a group, make goals for the phase and nail them.

If we go for a hostile reward then i'd suggest a camp for fight, steal and barter. We can have bonus to barter for leveling up the camps, fight for demoralizing and killing garrisons and of course steal.

if we go for a friendly reward then i'd suggest a camp for barter, aid and fight/harass. Aid as an incentive for people to barter with us or vice versa and of course a bonus for attack as there always alliances that seek to pick on a small number of players.

I can appreciate friendly sparring, but not while at war. So in my opinion, until we come to a truce any attack i receive will be followed by hostility.

Lol well far be it from me to stop anyones fun! I think sabotage is highly important as right as I would want fight and harass landing right after. Plus it is going to freak ppl out to see 6 or more hostile atacks come in, and you are correct they will have to waste CP in bribes and defenders. My goal is to kill peerless defenders

Strategy / Coordinated Events
« on: February 03, 2014, 11:59:34 pm »
Hello Friends,

We all have friends that we speak to outside the alliance and during a few of those conversations the same idea kept popping up. It is something that I think we should do, maybe not all the time, but every now and then. Such is the Coordinated Event, on a certain day at a certain time. If its been mentioned before I don't remember having any part of it so I propose for example: when we're at war a coordinated attack.

If we could have a few people all send harmful ptp to a certain player, like maybe leaders, officers or other players of high lvl. We do it all at once at a certain time it will really hurt.

If you are into this please post

* this could also work for friendly actions

I can do 3 catapults every 2 days
I can do 3 Lockboxes every 2 days
I can do 2 wagons a day
Or  instead of wagons I can work on caravans.

Or if I need to fill a space somewhere I can do whatever

I just wanted to put out a suggestion out there for the Message Of The Day. I think it should be cleaned up a bit and a list added of what members should be crafting.

Good question, I sent him a raven asking the same thing. I tried looking him up on my friends list but its hard to find someone that way. Just to add to my previous comment about Rise of Rhaego, I believe some of PoW's old team went there, including sweet Leona. He hasn't ravened me back yet. I'll check again 2:00 PST

Edit: He is from the Saudade Alliance. Camps located in the crownlands

I have received a Raven from Eric Valaryia or whatever asking for us to aid them against Rise of Rhaego. I am strongly against this, but need Freya's diplomacy to word it correctly.

I'm thinking of sending one of their random members this and see if they bite

"Tales spread quickly in the seven kingdoms. I have many sworn swords traveling Westeros and mayhaps have heard a tale or two of your missing leader.  There is a group of maesters with Valrayian Links on their chains, ousted by the Citadel. These Maesters were thought to be practicing the “higher arts” with the most sinister of intentions.

I’m afraid the SS with the best knowledge of their last rumored whereabouts is currently garrisoned at Golden Tooth in The Westerlands. He would require many barters to loosen his tongue on where the location of where these maesters may be gathering."
Brilliant!! Although may need spell check =P

Now I'm tempted to send one myself....
how dare you, my spelling is as immaculate as my typign :p

This is what they posted:

Sisters Of The Black Dread will be departing from Crimson Keep (House Bloodthorn) in the Mountains of the Moon and will be meeting a small ship at Gulltown. We will cross the Bay Of Crabs to Claw Isle and from there we will have a ferry waiting to take us to Dragon Stone .. Our search for Lady Bloodthorn begins ..

.. who will refuse our visit and who will welcome us in?

My reply:

Knights of the Winter Rose has heard whispers of terrible deeds and have seen troubling portents in the sky. Are you friend or foe? We will welcome you cautiously to our lands and hear what tales you have to tell.
This is such fun! Will they be paying us all individually a visit? Will I get a raven or some of them knocking at my PtP window pane? =P

If we're going to go for a prize then we should be in agreement in as to what most of our AvA actions are going to be. If we split into different regions, I would say its for fun and we should not expect a prize.
